LeRoy Covenant strives to offer programs and opportunities to develop a deeper relationship with Christ. We believe families participating together is key in creating a stable and viable church family who can then encourage and mentor each other in their walk with Christ. We encourage everyone to find a program to become involved and stay connected!
Life Groups- Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m.
Life Groups start with Opening at 9:45 a.m. with everyone gathering in the sanctuary to worship with childhood song favorites before dismissing to classes. At 10:00 a.m. everyone breaks into classes. Classes are offered for children ages preschool thru high school. Nursery is available for children under 3 years of age. Adults also have their own Life Group to attend. Community is important for all ages, as learning how to apply God’s Word to our daily lives is a lifetime journey. This informal time offers everyone an opportunity to engage in small group discussion.
Worship Service – Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m.
Worship Service starts with the entire family participating in the sanctuary. We believe that adults and children should participate in worship together. Our worship services are a combination of contemporary and traditional styles. Each Sunday both traditional hymns are sung along with contemporary worship songs. A worship team leads songs each Sunday morning. Our services include congregational songs and instrumental music, solos, scripture, drama and a variety of media to enhance the Sunday morning services. We believe our congregation should be able to experience and learn from a variety of styles by offering a little something for everyone.
At the mid-point in the service, children ages preschool thru 8th grade are invited to attend our Jr. Church program. Children are told a Bible lesson and complete a craft or activity during the program. Jr. Church offers children an opportunity to be a part of the worship service, but also receive a Bible lesson appropriate to their age.
For our littlest blessings, an adult-staffed Nursery for children up to age 4 is available during the entire service for them to play, hear a story or have a hug whenever they may need it.
All-Church Worship – One Sunday a Quarter
We believe that inter-generational (meaning adults of all ages and children) worshiping together is key in raising the next generation to understand the importance of a walk with Christ. The future of the church, any church, is the next generation rising up to lead, worship and evangelize the community in which they live. Children model what they SEE the adults around them LIVING! At LeRoy Covenant, children are always a part of Worship Services, but for All-Church Worship, children lead all aspects of worship and the entire service is geared to their levels of attention and energy. It is an awesome time of children teaching adults and adults learning from children.
Family-Style Life Groups
Throughout the year, we have a special Family-Style Life Group during our regular Life Group time offering families together an opportunity to participate in learning about Christ. These special Sundays involve various competitions such as Jeopardy-style trivia, hands-on problem solving, Bible trivia and lots of laughter for the entire family.
Family Fellowships
Throughout the year, we have various types of Family Fellowship opportunities so that families can spend time together, making relationships with other families who want to seek Christ in their daily lives. Fellowships vary widely, but have included: sledding/ice skating, camping weekends, bonfires, hayrides, skeet-shooting and game nights to name a few. Our goal is to create opportunities for families to grow in relationship with each other and in Christ.
